Pure, Natural and Conscious – A Journey Back to Essentials
Hi, nice to meet you, I'm Marijam, the founder of Nudo
I grew up in the Bavarian countryside, in a small village not far from Munich, surrounded by enchanting nature.
My curiosity about foreign cultures inspired me to travel across the world. In 2016, I moved to Bali, an Indonesian gem in the Indian Ocean. During the rainy season, this little paradise transformed — trash was washed ashore, covering the beaches. Witnessing this firsthand profoundly impacted me. I realised the scale of pollution, much of it invisible to the naked eye, and how our actions truly affect the planet. This experience led me to start lowering my ecological footprint.
My love for Italy and its culture eventually brought me here — first to Rome, then to Milan. I often struggled to find high quality skincare products that were natural, vegan and plastic-free, with a low environmental impact. That’s when Nudo was born.

I wanted to create natural alternatives that didn’t compromise on quality — products that were sustainable, accessible and beautifully designed. My goal was also to redefine the traditional "eco" aesthetic, making sustainability more desirable. The idea is simple: encourage people to make the best choices for themselves and the planet without sacrificing quality.
The word Nudo itself resonates deeply with me — it sounds sonorous, beautiful, and perfectly embodies the brand’s essence. In Italian, nudo means naked, symbolising purity, nature and a return to the essentials.
